Global Business Trip – May 2010
StepOne helped organize the last Global Business Trip that took place the first week of May 2010. Informe Semanal was there to highlight the GBT as part of a report on Spanish entrepreneurship and presence in Silicon Valley.
Their report (see part 1 above and the full video here) covers the expansion of Spanish business in Silicon Valley, various participants of the GBT are shown sharing insight and addressing the need to make a move in the US. Informe Semanal is a reference in Spanish prime time news programming, appearing on Saturday nights on TVE in Spain and broadcast all over the world.
The Global Business Trip is designed to introduce promising Spanish companies with potential opportunities, trends, competitive factors and counterparts in Silicon Valley, widely considered the largest tech hub in the world. The agenda of the GBT in May 2010 included entry to the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco, and visits to industry leaders such as Google in Mountain View, and Zappos (as part of an extension to Las Vegas). Participants benefited from a specific agenda for their company, and worked with StepOne on identifying potential investors, strategic partners and collaborators. See below for a list of participants and some photos from the trip.
