Bernardo Hernández

Co-Founder
Silicon Valley

Bernardo has a BS in Finance from ICADE and an MS in Finance from Boston College. Along with co-founding StepOne with Germán, he is also currently the Director of Consumer Marketing at Google and a Member of the Board of Directors at FUNDESO, an NGO managing more than €3M in projects in developing countries. He has also co-founded several internet firms, including idealista.com, floresfrescas.com, 11870.com, and tuenti.com.


Germán Loperena

Co-Founder
Madrid

Germán earned his BS in Aerospace Engineering from Parks College of Saint Louis University and an MBA from Boston College. He began his career as a Project Engineer at the Spanish manufacturing firm Santaz Censa. After business school, he joined IT services/consultancy MCS as a Marketing Manager, where he gained deep experience in the trenches of IT. He later joined Safelayer Secure Communications (IT security) as Marketing Director, where he helped launch and promote new Web-based secure payment and authentication processes. He was then recruited to become Managing Director of healthcare IT provider Alfa Multimedia, where he did pioneering work in the fields of clinical simulations and medical knowledge databases.


Cécile Baux

Madrid

Cécile has an MBA from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Tec de Monterrey) in Mexico. She also earned a BS in Business Administration from the ESC Dijon-Bourgogne, which constitutes part of the Grandes Écoles de Commerce. She has a plethora of experience in many different corporate areas, such as Communication and Press Management, Marketing, and Human Resources, having worked at top tier companies like AIR FRANCE KLM and Renault.


Beto Juarez

Silicon Valley

Beto earned his BA in International Relations with a specialization in Political Economy from Stanford University. While there, he was a co-founder and CEO of the Society for Entrepreneurship in Latin America, a group dedicated to exporting the Silicon Valley environment to Latin America. After graduating, Beto joined L.E.K., a management consulting firm, where he specialized in due diligence cases for private equity clients.


María Fanjul

Madrid

María has a BS in Finance from ICADE and previously worked in Confivendis, a Spanish Investment Bank, and Atlas Capital Private Banking. Along with working as a financial director of StepOne she is the CEO of Solón Inversiones and is also a member of the board of directors of idealista.com.
