In the past month of June I had the chance of attending one of the biggest events around Augmented and Virtual Reality, AWE 2015 that took place in Santa Clara, California.
Like I am coming from the gaming industry, I was expecting new games, devices, products and services focused around entertainment, but nevertheless I found many applications that are going to change the way we live and work today.
Starting by DAQRI, and their applications for industrial environments. The potential of their Smart Helmet providing augmented reality to factory workers is huge. With object recognition and tagging through the integration with other industrial apps it is capable to capture real time data and display information in situ, adding a new layer on the helmet screen.
